Clear financial expectations support a strong therapeutic relationship. The following outlines session fees, insurance information, and payment policies for services provided through Erin Heald LMHC.
Individual Therapy Session
Up to 55 minutes
$150 per session
This rate applies to EMDR therapy, play therapy, and talk therapy services unless otherwise discussed in advance.
Sessions are billed at the full scheduled rate.
I currently accept select insurance plans through Headway, including:
Highmark BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York
Highmark BlueShield of Northeastern New York
Aetna
Cigna
Carelon Behavioral Health (Please see link for information on accepted Carelon plans and verification)
Additional insurance credentialing is currently in progress.
Clients are responsible for understanding their insurance benefits, including copays, deductibles, coinsurance, authorization requirements, and coverage limitations.
Insurance eligibility and reimbursement are not guaranteed by the provider.
For clients using out-of-network benefits, superbills may be provided upon request. Clients are responsible for initiating reimbursement with their insurance company when applicable.
Clients are responsible for the full session fee at the time of service unless otherwise processed through insurance.
A limited number of reduced-fee appointments are available based on financial need. Availability is limited and cannot be guaranteed.

Payment is due at the time of service.
A credit or debit card is required to be kept on file. All payments are processed through a secure, HIPAA-compliant system.
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged a $100 cancellation fee.
Missed appointments without notice will also be charged a $100 fee.
This policy helps protect reserved appointment times and allows availability for clients actively seeking services.
Clients who are not using insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of services under the No Surprises Act.
This estimate may be requested prior to beginning treatment.
